15 April 2025

On February 23rd, we were greeted by an expectant and cheerful 109-year-old: Dagny Carlsson. She sat there ready with apple cider and chips, glowing in her lovely green sweater that perfectly matched our colors on grandma's old dresses.
We sang and danced to well-known classics from the 1930s and 40s, and it warms the soul to see how much Dagny laughed, sang, danced with her hands, and stamped her feet to the beat. How valuable it is to meet other people. It can give so much energy, positivity, and joy. And when you meet through song, music, and dance, these feelings are only amplified even more. Music can heal, music can bring joy, and music can make us feel a sense of togetherness. This has been proven to us after performing hundreds of concerts in elderly care over the past years before the pandemic. After all, doesn't bringing joy to others make you happy too?
