The Hebbe Sisters and their mother, concert pianist Ulrika Hebbe, invite the audience to sing along, laugh, dance and tap their feet. The repertoire is accessible, well-known and inviting, featuring music from the wonderful song tradition of the 1940s, traditional Swedish songs, and classical piano pieces by great composers such as Chopin. The program includes everything from Swing it, Magistern, Min soldat and Ett glatt humör to lively dance and tap numbers that create a lasting musical experience.
With experience from around 300 concerts in care homes and nursing homes, these artists have a deep passion for performing for the elderly. They have collaborated with organisations such as Kultur i Vården (Stockholm), Estrad Norr, Region Sörmland, Musik i Dalarna, Kalmar Länsmusik, Musik i Syd, and have also toured in Switzerland. They have celebrated Dagny Carlsson’s 110th birthday in advance and performed at “De gamlas dag” in the presence of H.M. Queen Silvia of Sweden. The video of Anna, a dementia patient, singing Swing it, Magistern has reached over 4 million views and become a viral success, gaining attention in TV4, SVT, Swedish Radio and national newspapers.
